Purpose and acceptance
Runes of Wyrd is an online card game currently offered in beta. Creating an account and using the service means accepting these Terms. Players who do not accept them must stop using the service.
Access
Access requires an account created through an available authentication service, including Google or Discord. Players must provide accurate information, protect access to third-party accounts and notify support of unauthorized use. Joining the community Discord server is not a prerequisite for using the game, except for features that explicitly depend on that server.
Minors may only use the service with permission from their legal representative and in accordance with the age requirements of the authentication services they use.
Conduct
Players must not:
- circumvent security measures, disrupt the service or knowingly exploit a defect
- use unauthorized scripts, bots or automated processes
- impersonate another person or harm the rights or safety of others
- publish a name, image or other content that is unlawful, hateful, threatening, fraudulent or infringes intellectual property rights
- sell, transfer or make an account available without written authorization
Beta and availability
The beta is provided to test and develop the game. Errors, interruptions, progression loss, resets, rule changes, balance adjustments and feature removals may occur. The publisher may temporarily suspend all or part of the service for maintenance, security or technical development and does not guarantee continuous availability.
Virtual items
Cards, currencies, rewards, rankings and other account elements are exclusively virtual. During the free beta they are not real currency, financial assets or property rights with monetary value. They may be adjusted or reset where necessary for testing and game balance.
Intellectual property
Access grants only a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable right to use the game in accordance with these Terms. No ownership rights in the game or its content are transferred to players.
Moderation, suspension and deletion
If these Terms are breached, or in the event of a security risk, fraud or abuse, the publisher may restrict, suspend or delete an account after reviewing the situation where circumstances permit. Players may request deletion of their account and associated data by contacting [email protected] from the email address linked to the account.
Liability
The publisher uses reasonable means to operate and secure the service. To the extent permitted by law, the publisher is not liable for interruptions caused by networks, third-party providers, necessary maintenance, force majeure or use contrary to these Terms. Mandatory statutory rights remain fully applicable.
Personal data
Data processing related to the service is described in the privacy policy.
Changes
These Terms may be changed to reflect developments in the game, the beta or applicable requirements. Players will be informed of material changes through an appropriate channel. The applicable version is the one published on the website when the service is used.
Governing law and contact
These Terms are governed by French law without depriving consumers of mandatory protections available to them. Before starting legal proceedings, players are encouraged to contact [email protected] to seek an amicable solution.
